Special Announcement: From Monday 16th August, Father Krzysztof Frost is appointed as parish priest of St. Joseph's. The community of St. Joseph's warmly welcomes Fr. Krzysztof, Fr. Krzysztof Biernat and Fr. Przemyslaw Podlejski, and all members of the Friary community and the Polish community who have now transferred to St. Joseph's. Sadly, our parish has had to say 'farewell' to Fr. Martin Pletts who has served the parish impeccably for the past three years with great energy. We are indebted to Fr. Martin for the dedication and spiritual leadership he has shown to each and everyone in St. Joseph's in making Christ present among us and wish him well in his future work in the Diocese of Dunkeld (Webmaster).

St. Joseph’s is a parish community of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dunkeld in the east of Scotland. Our church is situated in Wilkie’s Lane, off Blackness Road, in the West End of the City of Dundee, Scotland. The Parish Priest is Father Krzysztof Frost.
We are a thriving parish community and now include members of the former parish of St. Francis and also the Polish Community. We are always ready to welcome newcomers, especially those who would just like to come and see what the church is like. We are proud of our church building which was opened in 1873; but we are even more proud of our church community – the people of God ranging from our senior parishioners to the youngest children.  This web site will give tell you something about our parish, but we would be even more pleased to welcome you into our midst and extend to you an invitation to walk with us in the way of faith. As Church, we never forget that we exist in order to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  So, no matter who you are, we offer you a warm invitation to COME AND SEE.
                  ........ and that especially means
You!
You will find ways of contacting us within this site.  We would love to hear from you

Jesus' Call to Mercy
"I demand from you deeds of mercy, which are to arise out of love for Me. You are to show mercy to your neighbours always and everywhere. You must not shrink from this or try to excuse or absolve yourself from it.

I am giving you three ways of exercising mercy toward your neighbour:
the first — by deed, the second — by word, the third — by prayer. In these three degrees is contained the fullness of mercy, and it is an unquestionable proof of love for Me. By this means a soul glorifies and pays reverence to My mercy.

Many souls ... are often worried because they do not have the material means with which to carry out an act of mercy. Yet spiritual mercy, which requires neither permissions nor storehouses, is much more meritorious and is within the grasp of every soul.

If a soul does not exercise mercy somehow or other, it will not obtain My mercy on the day of judgment. Oh, if only souls knew how to gather eternal treasure for themselves, they would not be judged, for they would forestall My judgment with their mercy". (Extract from St. Faustina's Diary 1317)
